Helloooo my loves,
Today I thought i'd show you all how I store my brushes, it has taken me a while and many different ways of storing them to finally find a way that I like!
I bought these little beauties from ebay, originally they are from ikea. I had a browse on the ikea website and couldn't find them in these colours - only in white or red. So only one thing for it...ebay! There were plenty of people on there selling them in these two colours so I was delighted! They go perfectly in my pastel bedroom.
I split my brushes into two; one for face brushes and one of eye brushes. As you can see I don't have many eye brushes, I tend to stick with the same eyeshadows most days so I will just spot clean every time I use them. Whereas face brushes I have had a bit of a love-hate relationship with foundation brushes. I feel like I always look streaky, but after watching tutorial after tutorial I had this urge to try basically all of the different foundation brushes out there! Out of them all I'd say I have a new love of the stippling brush.
I feel this way of storing them is perfect as I can see all the brushes I have, they are not stored in a drawer where I may forget about some of the ones I don't use as often. They are accessible as they are sitting on my vanity and they just look rather pretty. The only downfall I'd say about storing them like this is I feel like you have to deep clean them a lot more often; even the ones you haven't been using as I am just paranoid about them getting dusty and then putting that on my face.. YUCK. Then again if you are an avid make up fan like myself, you should be deep cleaning your brushes often anyways!
Thanks for reading, let me know how you store your make up brushes in the comments or even link me to a post if you have done one similar
