November Beauty Favourites | TeilzC

We are fastly approaching December so I thought I'd be prepared this month and make a start with my November favourites!

1. Real techniques - expert face brush: I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with this brush. It gives a lovely finish when using liquid foundation however only when the brush has just been cleaned. I feel it can only be used for a couple of days before the starts to become streaky on the skin and much harder to blend. But I just love love love the outcome when it is freshly washed. Spot cleaning has been a life saviour this month.

2. Smashbox photo finish foundation primer: As the colder months are coming in my skin has been getting so incredibly dry. Sometimes my foundation takes that bit more effort to blend and does not look as flawless over the dry area. This product is amazing! It ensures my foundation blends beautifully and I cannot recommend this enough!

3. Loreal Cheryl's nude:
This is a much loved piece in my make up collection, I believe it was in my July favourites also. This just shows it is an all year round colour. The colour itself is a your lips but better; it's lovely. However my favourite thing about this lipstick is how much moisture it gives your lips. It isn't drying in the slightest. Perfect for this time of the year.

4. Maybelline colour tattoo- on and on bronze:
Party season is upon us! I am a big lover of shimmery gold toned eyeshadow at this time of the year, or even just for a night time look. I much prefer it to black smokey eyes. This is an amazing on its own or used as a base for powder shadows. The staying power it has is also top notch.

5. Nars- and god created the woman palette:
As soon as I seen this on the Space NK website I knew I had to have it! The neutral colours are so me! I've never tried nars before and I can say I am certainly not disappointed! The colours are all very pigmented. There is just the right amount of shimmer in the colours, so your eyes don't resemble a discoball. The compact palette is just so easy to throw in your handbag or make up bag.

So that was my November beauty faves! What are your favourites for the month of November?

Confessions of a beauty addict | TeilzC

No matter how much we love make up and skin care and how often we preach about our intense routines there are always going to be those days where we slip up and do not follow our routines in the slightest.

These are my beauty blunders that sometimes I just can't help but do them

1. Use make up wipes! There are those days where I just cannot be bothered getting out product upon product; I just want it off as quick as possible and get to bed!

2. I should probably clean my brushes more often than I actually do. They just take sooo long to dry. Very impatient I am.

3. Using eyelashes until they are physically unwearable. I'm such a cheapskate when it comes to things that I should only really wear once. £4/5 for a decent pair of lashes and to only wear them once? To me that is just a complete waste of money!

4. Hoarding! I find myself buying make up that I certainly do not need. Most likely an eyeshadow or lipstick that I have in basically an identical shade. Or on the other hand, keeping hold of make up that is most likely out of date and I never use that I just can't let go of.

Those are the three big beauty blunders that i catch myself doing, what are your beauty blunders?

Looking back.. 2014 bucket list | TeilzC

At the start of the year I wrote a blog post about five things i'd like to achieve by the  end of 2014.

1. Blog more: I've had good and bad spells with blogging, disappearing for a short while but I'm trying. Sometimes I lack the inspiration for posts. I have decided to write a few posts when I have those burts of inspiration.

2. Get fit: i'll admit, getting fit has taken the back seat in my life this year. I've had so many things to do - which isn't really an excuse. There's still time to put in some effort before that big Christmas dinner and boxes upon boxes of chocolate we'll receive on Christmas day though.

3. Visit 2+ new countries: This goal I can 100% say I have done! Over the summer myself and Andrew visited Dublin, Ireland for a long weekend. This was a 21st birthday present from myself to Andrew. It was an amazing weekend and we are planning on going back sometime soon! The second place we visited this year was Icmeler, Turkey; our first proper holiday! The beautiful beaches, amazing food, friendly atmosphere and crazy amount of shopping! We've had a few weekends away here and there not too far from us.

4. Care less: Definitely! I think this comes with growing up, the only peoples opinions that matter are the people that matter to you. Life is too short to care about the small things; do what make you happy.

5. Confidence!: As i said before, do what makes you happy. Be who you are, and be happy about that.

Well, 4/5 isn't too bad is it? I'll still keep working on it and improve every day.

What were your goals for 2014?

Mini Beauty Haul | TeilzC

Hi everyone (:

So recently I've been a bit naughty and have had a wee bit of a splurge on some beauty bits and bobs!

Mac lipstick in Morange:

I feel this will be a love/hate product, personally I am in love with it! It is a very bright and vibrant orange. I feel lately I've just went off reds and berry shades and fancied something a bit different. This was the perfect find!

Mac cream colour base in Shell:

As ridiculous as this sounds, when I first bought this I had no clue what it actually was for eyes? Cheeks? Both? Upon reading the little list of ingredients (that's a first) it says not to be worn on the eyes which is rather disappointing as it would have been a lovely all over the lid colour. Since trying it all has been forgotten about; it gives the most beautiful highlight on the tops of your cheek bones and Cupid's bow. It's just a very natural highlight with a hint of sparkle. It leaves my skin looking so glowy and healthy.

Liz Earle cleanse and polish hot cloth cleanser:

I have heard so many things about this cleanser and when I noticed a Liz Earle counter had appeared in my local boots (finally) I didn't hesitate and headed straight over there. As it is the lead up to Christmas there are what I presume is limited edition smaller size bottles. I picked up the 50ml bottle for the bargain of £9.

Ted Baker eyelash curlers:

It was long long overdue for me to get a new pair of eyelash curlers, I have loved my elf ones for quite some time and they are just 'done'. I saw these in boots and basically just thought they looked quite pretty, but I'm sure they will do the job and  will curl my lashes perfectly.

Benefit they're real mascara:

I finally picked up the ever so popular they're real mascara, just in the mini tester size. I adore the Maybelline mascaras and feel like they do an excellent job so I was rather reluctant to pay double the price for something that may essentially do the exact same thing to my lashes but today I bit the bullet and went ahead and bought it to give it a try. I believe this was £9 for the miniature.

What have you been buying lately?
